#New_article

After 1 year (and 3 days), our new #article (and the 5th article of my thesis) about #Fatigue behavior of #Polymers fabricated by #3dprinting, has been published and is now available online at #Rapid_Prototyping_Journal, a high IF journal in #additivemanufacturing researches. Link to the paper:

“Multi-scale damage analysis and fatigue behavior of PLA manufactured by Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM)”

The obtained experimental results show the first observed damage phenomenon corresponds to the inter-layer bonding of the filament interface at a certain stress. For instance, fatigue lifetime clearly depends on the extruder temperature as well as the loading frequency. Moreover, when the frequency is 80 Hz, the coupling effect of thermal and mechanical fatigue causes self-heating which decreases the fatigue lifetime.

This paper approximately covered the year 2020 during its Submission/Acceptation/Publication, and regarding its subject, it prooves that the optimization of materials fatigue-life is possible and optimizing the problem of bonding is inevitable. Given the above-mentioned statements, one more time, it has been proved that "#show_must_still_go_on".
